C4S App Workflow

The diagram below depicts the typical workflow for using soil spectra in the C4S App. Initially, soil spectra are ingested into the system by the User from a range of supported instruments (spectrometers).

The User then adds some information about these spectra so that appropriate pre-processing of these can be undertaken for standardising subsequent analysis.

The User can then select extra spectra from the CSIRO national soil spectral library using a range of predefined Selection Methods to help improve local spectral predictions of soil attributes through addition of representative spectra from the national library to the local spectral library.

The user can then use these local spectra combined with the selected national library subset to generate a local prediction of soil attribute values or use the available global national models to also predict soil attribute values.
